Eco-Friendly Eating

Opt out of plastic: So much of the food we eat comes in needless packaging – eating more produce & bulk-aisle items is an easy way to cut down!

  • Make the one-time purchase of reusable produce bags and bring them with you every time you shop
  • Bring jars, tubs, or other containers to stock up on dry goods in the bulk section
  • Seek out options that come in compostable wax paper or recyclable cardboard

Cut down on meat: Eating less meat has a greater lifetime environmental impact than not driving your car or not taking showers. If only for once or twice a week, eliminating meat from your diet makes a difference.

Here are a few low-waste recipe ideas to get you started!
