Over 25 of us came together last night to write to our elected officials about issues we care about, express opinions on newly introduced legislation, and drink beer at a local brewery co-op.
Our main goal as a community initiative is to move the needle on climate action – whether this is through small lifestyle changes, active & persistent discussions, or participating in the democratic process. Although there are arguments for/against writing to lawmakers, we feel that taking action at any level is a step towards progress.
If you missed our event or left with a newfound motive to keep writing your senators/reps, feel free to use and share our resources (apologies to non-Minnesota folks!) Included is a writing template, info on recently introduced bills, and more. You can also print your own postcards on the Women’s March website.
Thanks to everyone who came and helped write over 75 postcards to lawmakers and decision makers!
